Personalised Balloons / Balloon Printing FAQ's

What balloon colours can I choose from?

We have over 60 balloon colours. Our current range can be selected on the online order form.
What ink colours can I choose from?

Silver, Gold, Black or White.
Does silver ink work on a silver balloon?

Amazingly... yes. In-fact silver ink on a silver balloon is quite common for a Wedding. While it doesn't have a huge impact, it 's very elegant and gentle - just right for a Wedding.
Do you offer a service to print a picture onto a Balloon?

Balloon printing uses one ink colour, therefore printing works best for graphics, text and one colour logos. Pictures don't work very well. Saying that, we have done some. The best way to see if a picture will work with balloon printing is to print out you picture on paper with a standard home printer selecting "black only print" or one colour print. Alternatively we can email you an image on how the image will look on a balloon.
How quick can you get the printing sent to me?

Once we have received quality artwork, we can get the printed completed within 48 hours
What format do I send you the artwork in?

We accept most computer formats... jpg, png, tiff, pdf
What quality of artwork do you require?

jpg 300dpi will do. As a guide, if the artwork looks good enlarged to completely fit an A4 piece of paper, then it will look good on your balloon.
How do I send you the artwork?

When ordering, there is an option to upload artwork and a contact email address.
If I need 50 balloons, should I order 60 just incase some burst?

No. We always send out a few more than the quantity ordered to compensate for bursts. You'll find usually 10% more balloons are sent out.
What does my logo look slightly different?

The logo is printed onto the balloon when the balloon is 90% inflated and pressed against a flat plate of your image. As the balloon is not a flat image and may be inflated to a different size to when the printed image was transferred, the image may look slightly different. With the advent of digital media, peoples expectations of printing is very high. Digital printing goes not work on a balloon, therefore older traditional methods are used to produce the print. We use a process called silk screen printing. If the image looks very different, try to overinflate the balloon, then while looking at the image let a bit of air out of the balloon until the image looks clearer.
I have a silk screen printing system that I use to print T-shirts. Can I print on my own balloons?

The process is the same apart from the ink is very specialised and the holding equipment is very different. The process of building up a silk screen is the same. With some modification it may be possible.
